Alien Brain Hemorrhage Shot

A fun dessert alternative is the ALIEN BRAIN HEMORRHAGE SHOT. Besides its sweet liqueur-based mix, its layered composition is best described by its name. Peach Schnapps and Blue Curacao provide a nice fruity base. A delicate pouring of Bailey’s Irish Cream adds creamy cocoa & whiskey flavoring, creating the alien brain image. Finally, a few drops of grenadine add a sweet pomegranate accent, contributing an obvious hemorrhage (see video demo below). The shot without the Blue Curacao is just called the Brain Hemorrhage.

• 3/4 oz. Peach Schnapps
• 3/4 oz. Bailey’s Irish Cream
• 1/4 oz. grenadine (up to 1/2 oz.)
• 1/2 oz. Blue Curacao

Pour Peach Schnapps into the shot glass (a larger-sized shot glass is preferred). Use the back of a spoon to slowly pour Irish Cream on top. Drip the grenadine on top of the Irish Cream so that it sinks to the bottom. Finally, drip the Blue Curacao on top of the Irish Cream to create an extra layer underneath. (Blue Curacao may be omitted if the simpler Brain Hemorrhage without alien influence is desired.)

Comments: This is a chance to try out your artistic skills in a shot glass. The grosser, the better. No two shots will look the same. The end result is a sweet liquid dessert mixing four liqueurs.
