Oktoberfest

2020 would have been the 210th anniversary of Oktoberfest in Munich, and the 187th Oktoberfest festival event. COVID-19 ruled it out this year, safety concerns eliminating almost $600-million in hotel income and 42,000 barrels of the normally consumed Hofbrau lager.

As we say farewell to the missed festival that would have concluded October 4th and inspires similar beer celebrations during normal times, here’s a look back at two of my favorite comedies with great Oktoberfest scenes:
